Interesting Piece of information

>> Monday, December 28, 2009

"As mentioned in “Entrepreneur” magazine, 50% of Americans make a New Year's resolution [for weight loss]—which explains statistics like a 99% jump in web visits to WeightWatchers.com in January—but 25% of people fail these resolutions after just one week."

Don't be a part of that 25%. Seriously, contact me: herbaltang@gmail.com if you are interested in losing weight, I don't bite. I'd be happy to answer any questions you may have for me! Herbalife is the real deal. And I don't say that just because I'm in love with the products. It has changed my life and my mother's life.

Million Pound Weight Loss Challenge

>> Monday, April 6, 2009

The total weight loss is now: 34, 247 pounds!! Keep sending in your weight loss results to: http://www.herbalifemillionpoundmission.com/

On to other non-herbalife news, it is officially spring time. Even though its mostly April showers, and a lot of crazy weather changing, its really really nice! I have been really great. I went on a walk yesterday on a trail since the weather was so lovely. And today i played volleyball. And tomorrow I'm going to play some other sort of sport or exercise, but I don't know what yet.

School has been.. going slowly.. but I am closely finishing up my second year of college! Working on a religion paper: about theravada and mahyana buddhism and their views on the ecological issues of today's society. Its really interesting, I think more than ever, I do not have a religion but more of a spirituality of sorts. Easter break is also coming up, but that won't be a break, more of a time to catch up and finish projects due right after easter brk.

Anyways its getting late, I'm gunna read some, and then sleep.

Day 6

>> Saturday, March 21, 2009

so it's day 6 of my herbalife shake diet. I enjoyed it because I felt a lot better physically. I had more energy and I could function pretty well through the day. Unfortunately, i'm on campus right now, and I don't have a scale so i'm not sure how much weight i've lost. I'll try to borrow my friends tonight or something. Lately I haven't been doing much. I drank so much water i had like 20 water bottles sprawled out on my table. But I needed my work space so I didn't take a picture of them.
Today I'll be working on the bulletin board for Global Charity Project, and sewing my jacket. Pictures to come.

Day 1

>> Monday, March 16, 2009

My goal is to go from 130 to 115 pounds! I decided it's a huge challenge to lose weight in college. So this is for me to see and be the experiment on how I can help college students lose weight from using Herbalife products!

Today I drank a shake for breakfast as well as dinner. That picture is a bad pic of me but whatever. That's my awesome single serve blender with my cafe latte shake in it! hahaha. Its really yummy! I just finished drinking one for dinner. Ok so im gunna do a bit of predicting. I think one of the most difficult parts about this diet at college thing. Is the sheer fact that the taste and "goodness" of the foods change so much.. that I won't eat enough for lunch. And that is a problem because my plan is to have two meal-replacement shakes for a meal and a good balanced lunch! I think it will be great because I am also dieting w/ my friend Linh! She is also using Herbalife products.

Hopefully, this week will be calm and such. I'm really hoping that I finish and get an A on one of my big fashion industry projects! I have been working my butt off for it and I just hope my hardwork pays off. And I have an exam on Friday. And garment review for the fashion show is next week so I need to finish up knitting my skirt and pants, to enter and hopefully they will be accepted into the show.

Anyways, thats all folks!

College Eating Tip #1

>> Friday, January 2, 2009

Ok so college life is great all you can eat buffets, soda, junk food, pizza, chinese take out and the list goes on. It seems really great.. which it kinda is .. but at the same time its bad for your waistline and your health. I know I know.. this is what I always hear: "we're still young its ok"; "I have a fast metabolism". But it's really not ok to be eating so inconsistently and unhealithly. If you want to avoid getting the freshman 15 or basically gaining weight, you have to step up and watch what your eating. Not to say that you have to give up all of your favorite foods.

Time and time again.. the thing about college life is that its not very consistent,, one day you might be too busy to eat or have too many meetings and things to attend to. So we say its ok to skip meals. Unfortunately this doesn't really help us to lose weight or our health in the long run. It can actually contribute to us gaining more weight because we overeat at our next meal. Or we begin to snack on foods.

So don't skip meals!! Especially breakfast: "Some people skip breakfast in an effort to lose weight, but the practice is more likely to cause weight gain than weight loss. Skipping breakfast is strongly linked to the development of obesity. According to research, skipping meals, especially breakfast, can actually make weight control more difficult. Breakfast skippers tend to eat more food than usual at the next meal or nibble on high-calorie snacks to stave off hunger. Several studies suggest that people tend to accumulate more body fat when they eat fewer, larger meals than when they eat the same number of calories in smaller, more frequent meals."

Eat three meals a day at a consistent time. "Eating regular meals keeps you from getting hungry and your body from experiencing "intermittent starvation," which in turn promotes storing rather than burning calories. Breakfast is the most important meal."

Tips:
Breakfast made easy with the Herbalife formula 1 shake, it is a complete and nutritional balanced meal. It can be used to replace any meal. It's fast and you can pretty much make it anywhere. So instead of skipping a meal just drink a shake. or just drink it for breakfast. It's a great way to start off your mornings. Plus it comes in 7 diff flavors!!
Get your friends together to eat meals on a consistent schedule every day. That way you don't have to eat alone, and it makes people skip meals less. This is something that I do.. since it's just easier to have a schedule to eat instead of skippng meals.
