I found this great slide show called the '10 Secrets of the Effortlessly Thin', and it has some great tips that I already follow and that people should start doing more of. Click here to get to the page.
Here are some of the ones that I do follow:

1. Doesn't skip meals.
2. Keep track of their weight.
3. Stop eating when your full.
4. Allow themselves treats
5. Eat breakfast
